7 Animal Classification Activities:

Understanding Vertebrates Pockets

This interactive activity will help your kids understand vertebrates. In this interactive notebook, your students will have to cut and glue the pockets on their notebook. Then, they will place the inserts in the correct pocket.

Vertebrate Accordion Interactive Notebook

This interactive notebook is a fun way for your students to understand vertebrates. They will have to write the characteristics and examples of each vertebrate under each correct section, and glue it into their notebooks for a fun reference to look back on.

Animal Classification Posters

These posters are perfect for your kids to look at and refresh their memories on the different types of vertebrates / characteristics.

This cool activity by The Activity Mom is great for your kids. The students will have to print out the cards and mix them well. Then, the game begins by asking each other questions in order to complete the task.

animal classification lapbook:

This is an amazing activity by Babel School that will require your students to create their own lapbook. The inside of the lapbook will have lots of helpful information and images.

cootie catchers’ activity:

This is a simple activity by 123Homeschool4me where students will have to print the sheets of the animal images and fold them. Then they will be playing the cootie catchers while learning all about animal classifications.

this is a cool activity by Ofamily Learning Together for your students to play and learn. They will have printable images and information about animals. They will then cut and laminate the cards, ready to start learning about the images and reading facts about them.
