8 Engaging Activities: Mixtures and Solutions

1. Sort it out Activity:

Students can face difficulties when it comes to understanding the difference between mixtures and solutions. So in this fun activity, they will have to cut a few pictures out and glue them in the correct table. At the end of this activity, your students will have a clear idea about mixtures and solutions. 

2. Mixtures and Solutions Definition Activity:

One of the best ways to memorize vocabulary is by writing them down. With this Interactive notebook, your students will have to cute and glue the little foldables into their notebook. Then they will write the definition of each vocabulary word along with an example for future reference.

3. Mixtures and Solutions Flower Interactive Notebook:

In this little activity, your students will have to cut the flaps of the flower and glue the center to their notebooks. Then with each flap, they will determine if it’s a mixture or solution and write it underneath.

8. Hot Chocolate Science Experiment – By creativefamilyfun

This experiment is quite simple, yet a fun way to show your students how the hot chocolate mixture dissolves in cold water vs hot water. It is a great way to explain the difference between the physical changes that occur and how the temperature affects how the mixture dissolves.
