10 Awesome Nutrition Activities

 

1. Digestive Wonders Activity:

A fantastic activity that will let your students practice their skills. In this activity, your students will have to read the passage while searching for answers and write them underneath the questions. They will also have to write the definition under each element on the stomach they colored.

 

 

2. Food Group Activity:

This is an amazing activity that will help young students learn more about the importance of different foods. This cool interactive notebook will provide a food group “choice board” where the students will have to pick a question for each topic, and write the question & answer underneath the correct flap.

 

 

3. My Plate Activity:

An awesome activity that will encourage students to reflect on their own eating habits and consider areas where they can make healthier choices. So your students will have lots of fun cutting and gluing each food on the plate in the right category. They will be given questions to write with their answers under the correct side of the plate.

 

 

4. Nutrients Interactive Notebook:

Check out this simple activity to show your students the differences between the nutrients categories. It’s all about cutting the definition of each nutrient and gluing it under the correct category. They will also have to list the foods of each nutrient underneath the flaps.

 

 

5. Healthy Me Activity:

A wonderful activity for a better food plan. Your students will be given a nutrition and exercise journal for each day of the week. On this sheet, they will have to write down what they ate each day, the required exercises of the day, as well as the servings of each element. By the end of week, they will be able to set their own healthier food and exercise plan for the following week.

Each traffic light will give permission of how often this food can be consumed. So, the students will have to use their knowledge to regroup the images with the correct traffic light.

A very helpful activity to show your students the differences between vitamins and minerals. After gluing the sheets to the notebook and cutting the flaps, they will write the source of these vitamins (and minerals) under each flap.
